Terms of Service

Last updated October 2026

These terms are between Thoughtful Machine LLC (“we”, “us”), which operates NoticeLoop, and the organization that uses it (“you”). By using the service you agree to them. People who receive texts through an organization should read the Privacy Policy and the “Text-message recipients” section below.

The service

NoticeLoop lets an organization collect opt-in consent from its members and send them informational text alerts, immediately or on a schedule, and see whether the messages were delivered. The service is for organizations and is provided to an organization’s authorized administrator.

Your responsibilities

  • Text only people who gave explicit consent through your signup page. Never upload, buy or scrape lists, and never text someone who has replied STOP.
  • Keep your consent wording and the messages you send within the purpose registered with the carriers for your organization (for example, meetings, changes and notices). Do not send promotions, fundraising or third-party advertising unless that is registered and your signup wording says so.
  • Do not send anything unlawful, deceptive, threatening or harassing, or content about sex, hate, alcohol, firearms or tobacco, or anything meant to defraud.
  • Follow the laws and carrier rules that apply to text messaging, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the carriers’ messaging policies. You are responsible for the content you send.
  • Give accurate information about your organization, including the contact details shown on your policy pages, and keep your sign-in secure.

Carrier registration and delivery

U.S. carriers require a registration before an organization may send texts to the public. We will not send texts for your organization until that registration is approved. Carriers and phone providers decide whether a message is delivered, and may filter or delay messages, so we cannot guarantee delivery or timing.

Fees

Any fees will be agreed with you in writing before they apply. Carriers and our messaging provider may add pass-through charges, which we will disclose before you are charged.

Your data

Your subscriber list and your messages belong to you. You allow us to process them to provide the service. We handle personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. You can ask us to export or delete your data when you leave.

Suspension and ending the service

We may suspend or end the service if these terms or the carriers’ rules are broken, if a registration is rejected or withdrawn, or if sending puts other customers or our providers at risk. You may stop using the service at any time.

Text-message recipients

  • An organization’s texts are informational and recurring. Frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for help.
  • Consent is optional and is not a condition of membership, purchase or participation.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • The organization that texts you has its own program terms, linked from its signup page.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho.
