Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2026

NoticeLoop is a text-alert service operated by Thoughtful Machine LLC (“we”, “us”). Organizations such as chambers of commerce, churches, clubs and civic groups use it to send informational text messages to people who have chosen to receive them. This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it, for the people who administer an organization’s account and for the people who sign up for its alerts.

When you sign up for a particular organization’s alerts, that organization decides who is texted and why, and we handle the information on its behalf. Its own policy is linked from its signup page, at an address like noticeloop.app/join/organization-name/privacy.

What we collect

  • Administrators: name, email address and sign-in details; the organization’s name, website and contact details; and the alerts they write and send, with their delivery results.
  • People who sign up for texts: mobile phone number; optionally a first name and the notification groups they choose; and a record of their consent (the exact wording shown, the date and time, how they signed up, and basic device information).
  • Message activity: delivery status for each text (such as delivered or failed), and STOP, START and HELP replies.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. We do not store IP addresses with sign-up records; they are used only in scrambled (hashed) form to limit abuse such as repeated automated sign-ups.

How we use it

We use this information to run the service: to send the alerts an organization has written to the people who agreed to receive them, to honor STOP and other choices, to keep proof of consent, to keep the service secure, and to give support. We do not use phone numbers for our own marketing, and we do not sell personal information.

Text messaging

  • Texts are sent only to people who gave explicit consent on an organization’s signup page.
  • How often you hear from an organization varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from that organization, and HELP for help. After you reply STOP you will not be texted again unless you sign up again.
  • No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us deliver the service, such as our messaging provider (Twilio), our database and sign-in provider (Supabase) and our hosting provider (Vercel), and when the law requires it. These providers may use the information only to provide their services to us. We never sell personal information.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep administrators signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe at any time.
  • To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, contact the organization that texts you, or contact us at the address below. We may keep a minimal record that you opted out, so we do not text you again, and consent records the law requires us to keep.

Retention and security

We protect information with access controls, per-organization separation of data, and encryption in transit. We keep records for as long as an organization’s account is active, and consent records as long as needed to show compliance. After an account is closed we delete what we no longer need.

Children

The service is for organizations and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how text-message information is used, we will tell the organizations we serve.
